ABOUT ABOUT

Mark your calendars for the Ink People's "Night Masquerade" on Saturday, October 5th from 7pm until late. The enchanting event will celebrate artist-conjured interpretations of night and will be filled with mystery. All proceeds will support arts and culture endeavors in the community. *Participating artists will be announced as we get closer to the event!

**Masks are strongly encouraged and will add to the allure of the event...we will have some simple, creative masks available if you do not bring one!

We will be hosting a mask workshop on September 25, 5-7pm at the Two Street Art Lab: 527 2nd Street.

Free entry with a ticket to the masquerade. See ticket link in our bio!

For non-ticket holders, the workshop is $20 for Ink People members and $40 for non-Ink People members.

Soph T. works in large and small  sculptural assemblage and a variety of multimedia art installations, often intersecting with theater and performance through sets, props and costumes. He has been known to animate physical objects into puppets, style live humans into fairytale characters, and participate in collective exploration of mythological narratives. www.collapsibleinstitute.com  Special thanks to @rockriseconsulting for sponsoring the mask workshop! "Growth from strength!"

The masquerade will take place at Synapsis Union in Eureka: 1675 Union Street.

Live painting, aerial dance, and a silent art auction will take place during the course of the evening, with dancing into the night.

A little more about special opportunities to support:

When you purchase tickets, please consider also contributing to the Under-Resourced Communities Fund that we are launching! This added donation will support special BIPOC-led projects, 2SLGBTQIA+ projects, and other projects that meet acute community need through a special grant program that will be available to these communities. *This option is a contribution directly to this fund. Please buy a separate ticket for the event!

*Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Ink People office!

The Ink People has a longstanding commitment to publicly presenting community engaged art through the Brenda Tuxford Gallery. Founded by Executive Director Emeritus Libby Maynard and Brenda Tuxford in 1982, the gallery is now co-located with the Humboldt County Visitors Bureau at 422 First Street and offers local artists the professional presentation and public exposure they deserve. Your purchase of a Gallery Sponsorship Ticket will help ensure that this vital programming is available to the public year-round!
